University House Communities was formed in 2007 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of InvenTrust Properties. University House Communities is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.

Travis Roberts is President of University House Communities (UHC), a development, acquisition and management organization dedicated to the creation of authentic communities in university markets across the United States. As President, he is responsible for the operations, strategic direction and growth of the company, and development of future business initiatives.
Troy Manson is Chief Investment Officer for University House Communities (UHC). He is responsible for investment activities and assists with strategic planning and execution for the company.
David M. Pierce serves as Executive Vice President of Development for University House Communities (UHC). He leads the development team and is responsible for implementing the long term strategic direction of University House Communities' developments and investments. He manages all aspects of the development process including site selection, land acquisition, market analysis, entitlements, construction oversight and asset management.
Carlie Cresse brings more than 15 years of property management experience to her role as Senior Vice President of Operations for University House Communities (UHC). In her current role, she oversees the operations of UHC's entire student-housing portfolio where she is responsible for employee and team performance, annual property budgets, leasing strategies and operations. Cresse also participates in due diligence for new investments, including review of development proformas and property design.
Rachel Kihn serves as Vice President of Marketing for University House Communities (UHC). She manages corporate-level marketing, as well as marketing and leasing initiatives for all conventional and student properties owned or operated by University House Communities, including management of the University House and CiTYViLLE nationwide brands. Kihn serves as the point person for the marketing/pre-leasing efforts of new communities under construction. The newest University House community in Orlando, Florida, with 997 beds, achieved 100% pre-leased status three months prior to the grand opening.
Alfred Scheer serves as Vice President of Design for University House Communities (UHC). Scheer is responsible for managing design and quality control of projects from inception to leasing, in order to ensure a successful product. Scheer also is responsible for developing design concepts for models and amenity areas.
Mark E. Riley serves as Vice President of Development for University House Communities (UHC). He is primarily responsible for sourcing prospective sites and managing development activities for off-campus student housing projects in the eastern United States. Riley also is responsible for analyzing new markets, financial underwriting, contract negotiations, due diligence, securing entitlements, product design and construction administration.
Kristen Penrod serves as Vice President of Development for University House Communities (UHC) where she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of development projects, including due diligence; market analysis; budgets and capital structures; design and entitlements and negotiation of development agreements/contracts with partners, lenders, municipalities, third party vendors and contractors.
Ross L. Robb serves as the Vice President of Development - Public Private Partnerships for University House Communities (UHC). He identifies and fosters successful public-private partnership development relationships with colleges, universities and municipalities within UHC's targeted higher education markets.
Joel Brown serves as Vice President of Asset Management for University House Communities (UHC). Brown is responsible for all asset management aspects for UHC including working with a variety of internal and external resources to identify opportunities for value creation, expense control, revenue enhancement and capital projects. Brown also handles dispositions and participates in the acquisition and development process to ensure these investments align with the company's long term goals.
Dustin Aukland serves as Vice President of Acquisitions for University House Communities (UHC), where he is lead on all off-campus student housing acquisitions. He is responsible for sourcing possible acquisitions, negotiating all acquisition contracts and managing due diligence process.
Kelly Dwyer serves as Vice President of Capital Markets for University House Communities (UHC). Kelly is responsible for debt related matters including sourcing construction and permanent financing, creating and maintaining relationships with lenders, and collaborating with other team members on loan closings. Kelly interfaces with UHC's joint-venture partners as well as with UHC's parent company and equity investor, InvenTrust Properties. His interactions with InvenTrust include company and portfolio reporting, corporate strategy, and internalization of corporate functions such as risk management and insurance practices. In addition, Kelly is also responsible for tracking peer performance, benchmarking best practices, and industry research.
